By creating an account or using Speak to Quote ("the Service", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old, and using the Service on behalf of a business, to create an account.
Speak to Quote turns a spoken or typed job description into an editable, priced quote. An AI model (Claude, from Anthropic) extracts structured line items — descriptions, quantities, and prices — from what you say. The AI-generated output is a starting draft, not a finished quote: pricing, quantities, and descriptions can be wrong, out of date, or misread from your voice input, and it's your responsibility to review and correct every quote before sending it to a customer. We are not responsible for losses arising from an inaccurate quote that you sent without reviewing it.
Some features require a paid subscription (currently Starter or Pro — see current pricing on the homepage), billed monthly through Stripe. Prices shown don't include VAT: we're not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to your bill. Where a plan includes a free trial, you won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel at any time during the trial to avoid being charged at all.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates this section.
When you use "Send to customer", we create a shareable, unauthenticated link to a snapshot of that quote and email it to the address you provide. You're responsible for making sure that address is correct and that you have the right to contact that person on your customer's behalf. Once a quote is sent, the shared snapshot reflects the quote as it stood at that moment — editing the quote afterwards doesn't change what the customer already received or accepted.
The Service relies on third parties to operate — Google Firebase (hosting, authentication, database), Anthropic (AI extraction), and Stripe (payments) — each governed by their own terms and privacy policies in addition to this one. We aren't responsible for outages or errors originating in a third-party service we depend on, though we'll work to restore normal service as quickly as reasonably possible.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee that AI-extracted line items, pricing, or totals will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular job, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You use AI-generated quote content at your own risk, and always subject to your own review before it reaches a customer (see Section 2).
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Speak to Quote isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (including lost profit or lost business) arising from your use of the Service, including from an inaccurate AI-generated quote, a service outage, or a third-party provider's failure. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can't lawfully be excluded or limited, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time (Section 4). We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches Section 5, or close the Service to a user with reasonable notice where we're no longer able to provide it. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, though our Privacy Policy continues to govern any data we retain afterwards.
We may update these terms from time to time, for example as the Service's features change. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate let you know in the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your own country of residence.
